We saw the way
you let love in,
the little door
you opened
when the light
began to change—
and night pressed
cool against your face.
When your heart
began to swell
the way the moon will
just before rain
we saw the wide world
in your eyes again,
that wild joy
love sometimes brings.

Thanks, Joa. Your poem for our wedding was beautiful and it got many compliments. So great that you were an integral part of the ceremony!

Your wedding was really fun. It’s crazy how many of your attendees are also getting married! You and Emily must be major trendsetters. I guess I already knew that though. Vive l’amour!

Will you write a poem for me when I get married?
• Joa, June 8, 2010 at 7:43 am
Of course!
